Breakfast on Future of Health Care in Latvia

Jun 29, 2017
Radisson Blu Hotel Latvija, Elizabetes Street 55

June's business breakfast meeting discussion focused on the future of health care in Latvia. The event took place on June 29, 9:30 at Radisson Blu Hotel Latvija, Elizabetes Street 55.

The event included a panel and a Q&A delving into the health care industry. We intended for the event to provide a platform for the necessary and ever-evolving discussion on the accessibility of health care services and their impact on employers, and we believe it successfully facilitated this discussion. Our panel of industry professionals, made up of Kārlis Ketners, State Secretary at the Ministry of Health Olga Condorfa, Director of Personal Insurance Products at Aon Baltic Latvia and Dins Šmits, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Repharm, proved insightful. Each panelist offered a different perspective on the health care industry. Affordable, accessible and exceptional healthcare is, of course, something to strive for. How we go about obtaining this ideal is not so easily agreed upon, but our panelists certainly shed light on some of the obstacles prohibiting or stalling the latter from coming into fruition.

Members' participation in the Q&A following the panel proved insightful and introspective. AmCham values each of its members not only as a business associates, but as a voices with the potential to create change. .

Thank you to panelists, members, and Radisson Blu Hotel.
