Foreign chambers meet with the President of Latvia

More than 230 foreign investor representatives met with Edgars Rinkevics, President of Latvia at a Joint Chamber business luncheon on February 12 to hear the President discuss the future perspectives and competitive advantages of Latvia. In a lively discussion, moderated by journalist Pauls Raudseps, the President answered many questions raised by investors focusing on FDI attraction and competitiveness, security, human capital, sustainability, and transparency.

President Rinkevics stressed Latvia’s commitment to strengthening common security. He spoke about risk awareness and focusing less on procedures and more on the result - be it the workforce, climate, energy, health, or any other major challenges. The President pledged to give special attention to education and science and attract more investments. The event was hosted by the American, German-Baltic, Norwegian, and Swedish Chambers of Commerce in Latvia.
