Microsoft supports the promotion of employment and development of technological skills
As of August 31, Microsoft Latvia announces a public tender for experienced non-governmental organizations (NGOs) - "e-Skills for Employability Initiative 2010" to support the organization work for the promotion of employment and technological skills on training, especially in Latvian regions. Microsoft Latvia, Unlimited Potential program, offers NGOs to apply for grants from 50 000 to 150 000 U.S. dollars for its existing operations in support of employment and technological skills training. Tender " e-Skills for Employability Initiative 2010" projects can be applied until October 1st, 2010. One NGO in each country will be able to obtain financing and to encourage unemployed and underemployed in today's job market and career development as well as to equip for rapid technological development and changing labor market conditions of competition. The Care Mobile to hit the roads of Latvia
The Care Mobile, a 12-meter long mobile unit, worth almost EUR 400 000, has just arrived in Latvia and will provide the children with medical help and consultations. Starting as of this September, the Care Mobile will travel throughout Latvia in Aluksne, Ape, Aglona, Dagda and Livani delivering free mobile healthcare to children.
