In 2009 AmCham adopted the statement of Good Corporate Citizenship. The goal of this initiative is to foster an improvement in Latvia’s business environment. The statement consists of a belief statement and corporate principles for businesses. It focuses on the four main areas:

• Transparency and Ethics
• Human Resources
• Philanthropy
• The Environment

Recently our GCC statement was adopted by Foreign Investors Council in Latvia (FICIL). With this statement AmCham has taken a leading role in promoting good corporate citizenship to the larger business community.
