AmCham representatives met with the Nebraska LEAD program delegation from the University of Nebraska on January 15th at the U.S. Embassy Public Affairs Section. Attendees included Chamber President Jerry Wirth, board members Matiss Kukainis and Sasha Kelberg, and AmCham member Karlis Cerbulis.
The group of Nebraska’s top agricultural producers and agribusiness personnel was visiting Latvia as part of their international study trip to the Baltic states.
Jerry Wirth briefed the group on AmCham activities and Matiss Kukainis gave a briefing on the legal system in Latvia. Karlis Cerbulis of NCH gave an extensive presentation on Latvian agriculture and NCH agribusiness. Presentation available here.
The Nebraska LEAD (Leadership Education/Action Development) Program is designed to speed up the leadership development process of Nebraska agriculturalists through exposure to a wide variety of experiences, both domestically and internationally, to better prepare the problem solvers, decision makers and spokesperson for Nebraska agriculture and the State of Nebraska.
