AmCham Board met with Prime Minister

On April 19 AmCham Board met with Prime Minister Evika Silina to talk about foreign investment attraction and development of human capital.

On April 18 our members met at the Business After Hours event hosted by EPAM and Tech Recruitment where four profound experts shared their experience on how to build high-performing teams in a time of an ongoing talent shortage. 

On March 16, the AmCham Healthcare work group convened for its next meeting to discuss the status of the healthcare financing conference “Sustainable investments – predictable results”, as well as provide an update on healthcare sub-groups about healthcare financing, digital health, precision medicine, VBHC, VBP, secondary health data regulation and EU Pharma regulation.

The sixth EU-US Trade and Technology Council ministerial

On April 4-5, the sixth biannual summit of the EU-U.S. Trade and Technology Council (TTC) convened in Leuven, Belgium. EU and U.S. officials agreed to deepen cooperation on trustworthy AI, quantum technologies, semiconductors supply chain disruptions, and 6G.

On April 12 members met with Andris Spruds, Minister of Defense of Latvia to discuss the topics of utmost importance today, including security and defense policy priorities, strengthening of military capabilities and cooperation as well as strategic communication.

Welcome the Gables Group to AmCham

On April 8 the AmCham Digital&AI work group gathered for the third meeting to discuss the directions and activities and to get an update on the AI legislation. 

AmCham meets with Deputy State Secretary for Human Capital

On April 3, representatives of AmCham Labor Force Work Group met with Janis Salmins, new Deputy State Secretary at the Ministry of Economy responsible for driving the State’s human capital development policy.

AmCham leadership speaks at LACC Town Hall

AmCham representatives spoke on strengthening the partnership with the Latvian American Chamber of Commerce (LACC) to promote U.S.-Latvia economic ties for enhancing economic security at the Annual Town Hall of LACC. Among other speakers were LACC Co-Chairs Janis Bergs and Lauris Lambergs, Latvian Ambassador to the U.S. Maris Selga, President of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce Aigars Rostovskis and Board member of Red Jackets Association Edite Sipko.
