Lessons learned from the COVID-19 outbreak

Minister Vinkele met with AmCham top-tier members to discuss the lessons learned from the COVID-19 crisis management. She also shared her vision on the way forward for the healthcare sector taking into account new challenges posed by the global pandemic. 

Test, trace, isolate has been Latvia's response, which, comprehensively implemented at all levels, has ensured comparative success in fighting the novel coronavirus.

The Minister engaged in an lively discussion with members answering questions from the start of the academic year to raising awareness of contact tracing app Apturi Covid, from ways of distribution of a new vaccine to necessary improvements in the healthcare system.

We would like to thank Minister Vinkele for ongoning dialogue with AmCham members and the entire team of healthcare professionals, workers and policy-makers for working so hard to limit the spread of disease.

The event took place within our Thought Leaders Series, a program designed exclusively for the top management of our Corporate Contributing members bringing together leaders to exchange views on various issues critical for their business as well as on improving the business and investment climate in Latvia.
