Help children in need to get ready for school

Let's help children left without their biological parents get ready for school! The Latvian Foster Family Association kindly asks to support their annual campaign "School children must go to school".

On June 15, members visited the State Revenue Service to meet with the Director General Ilze Cīrule, had a tour through the new headquarters, seminar on taxes, EDS and data security as well as engaged in a thoughtful Q&A session.

June's Meet AmCham event, filled with new insights and fun, was a success. AmCham's new members of 2016/2017 were introduced, and speakers Vanda Dauksta (Riga Toastmasters) and Elena Zlygosteva (Career Evolution Coaching) offered strategies to succeed as networkers in the business world. Members participated in interactive workshops to practice their networking skills.

SSE Riga study: Shadow Economy Index for the Baltic countries

The results of the study “Shadow Economy Index for the Baltic countries” show that Latvia saw a slight contraction of the shadow economy in 2016, thus continuing the long-term trend since 2013. In contrast, there has been a modest increase in the size of shadow economies in Lithuania and Estonia.

Work From Anywhere Day for the 6th time in Latvia

For the 6th time in Latvia the "Work from anywhere!" day took place on May 26 and brought together more than 300 event participants from 100 organizations who support flexible working style.

The main theme for this year's High Council was chosen topic "Do!" as messages for the government: Have confidence in your recent actions, be brave for your new implementations, build trust, build your legacy.
