AmCham raises EUR 2710 for charities in 2018

The true spirit of Christmas is a spirit of giving. In total we have raised EUR 2710 for our principal charities this year: Latvian Foster Family Association, RMHC Latvija Care Mobile and SOS Children's Villages. As a result many children in Latvia will be able to receive free healthcare services and a family-based support.

 
 
Winners of the Human Development Award announced

On December 14 during the 5th Annual Human Development Award ceremony, the winners of this year's award were announced: Marika Ģederte, Anna Kupre, Children's Hospital Foundation and Kraslava Mommy's Club. The Award is hosted by AmCham, U.S. Embassy in latvia and the Civic Alliance in order to honor inspirational people, businesses and organizations who have significantly contributed to human development. The award aims at promoting initiatives that reduce inequality, foster social responsibility, enhance education, health and well-being of the Latvian people.

McHappy Day collects EUR 43 000 for Care Mobile

The most successful McDonald's charity campaign "McHappy Day" has ended and the results are amazing - 43 000 euros has been collected to support the RMHC Latvia's Care Mobile program.

 
 
5 most promising companies of SEB's Growth Program

Second batch of SEB bank's Growth Program for Companies has concluded with 5 most promising companies selected out of 13 participants: Tenax Panel, Svaigi.lv, Will Sensors, school for small kids Knābis and bakery Lielezers. The purpose of the prgoram is to prepare companies for rapid growth through digital technologies and innovations.

 
 
Christmas Bazaar raises record high donation

The 22nd International Christmas Bazaar raised more than EUR 46 000 on December 1, which will offer tremendous help in continuing and increasing charity work throughout Latvia.

 
 
 
Bringing Latvians back home

The social movement "Latvija Strādā", uniting Latvia-based employers, is eager to contribute to the current remigration tendencies. The goal of the movement is to return at least 1000 nationals to the Latvian labor market in a year. Up to now 78 employers have pledged to return 272 people, and more than 40 people have returned and are currently working in Latvia.
