Inese Karpovica, a recent BA graduate in the Management of International Communication from the Turiba University devoted her diploma thesis to exploring CSR as a factor of development in AmCham. Members admitted that CSR is essential for their company development resulting in customer loyalty, better risk management, improved financial performance and reputation. In members' opinion AmCham CSR activities help build stronger cooperation and partnership among members. Jurmalas aizsardzibas biedriba, Ikskiles Briva Skola, RMHC Latvija and Andris Ceksters were awarded the Human Development Award of Latvia 2015 on April 16 during the Awards Ceremony Dinner at the State Gymnasium No.2. The winners received a custom-made sculpture "Sprout" designed by artist Olga Silova, an Award certificate and other special prizes by the program partners and sponsors.
