Members participated in interactive workshops to practice their networking skills.

Our June business breakfast meeting discussion was devoted to the future of health care in Latvia with State Secretary of the Ministry of Health Karlis Ketners and industry professionals Olga Condorfa (Aon Baltic) and Dins Smits (Repharm).

Our monthly Business After Hours in June was hosted by Rocket Bean Roastery. Rocket Bean founders shared their journey in creating a successful brand that revolves around a true passion for coffee. Members enjoyed food and drink and participated in a taste test.

On June 15, members visited the State Revenue Service to meet with the Director General Ilze Cīrule, had a tour through the new headquarters, seminar on taxes, EDS and data security as well as engaged in a thoughtful Q&A session.

The results of the study “Shadow Economy Index for the Baltic countries” show that Latvia saw a slight contraction of the shadow economy in 2016, thus continuing the long-term trend since 2013. In contrast, there has been a modest increase in the size of shadow economies in Lithuania and Estonia.

Annual sustainability performance was recently evaluated by many companies in Latvia. We are proud of our members' achievements in the Sustainability Index 2017: SEB banka achieved Platinum, AbbVie and RISEBA Silver. Overall 7 Platinum, 19 Gold, 22 Silver and 6 Bronze awards were given.
