Annual sustainability performance was recently evaluated by many companies in Latvia. We are proud of our members' achievements in the Sustainability Index 2016: Cemex achieved Platinum, Nordea Bank AB Latvia branch and SEB Bank Gold, and AbbVie Bronze. Overall 4 Platinum, 17 Gold, 20 Silver and 11 Bronze awards were given.

Zigmunds Zaļenko, Accenture Latvia, Children's Palliative Care Society and TechHub Riga Co-founder Andris Berzins were awarded the Human Development Award of Latvia 2016 on April 15 during the Awards Ceremony Dinner at the Latvian National Library. The winners received a custom-made sculpture "Sprout" designed by artist Olga Silova, an Award certificate and other special prizes by the program partners and sponsors. AmCham together with the US Embassy and Civic Alliance of Latvia hosted the Human Development Awards for the 3nd consecutive year.

JSC „Valmieras stikla šķiedra” provides financial support to the Valmiera Football Club, the basketball club „Vidzeme”, the Award of the State President in Athletics and the volleyball championship „Valmiera Beach”.

SOS Children's Villages and famous Latvian chefs invite you to the restaurants on September 1st in order to support the charity campaign "The more you eat - the more you help". Many restaurants will donate 10 percent of their turnover generated on the day of the campaign to help the children get prepared for the new school year.

Latvian Foster Family Association invites you to become a godparent of the Support Center "Dzeguzēns". The center was created to provide psychological and emotional support for both children who have lost care of their biological parents and their families.

Since 2011 well over 20,000 Latvian children have received free medical care near their homes across Latvia from the Care Mobile team. The Care Mobile team is accepting donations. If you have glasses with frames intact which you no longer need, they are ready to collect them.

Data Security Solutions continues to support Latvian Bridge Federation and Latvian Darts Federation, and in particular the best Latvian sportsman Madars Razma who is winning various international tournaments.

Cemex, Nordea Bank and SEB bank were named among the most family-friendly companies in Latvia by the Ministry of Welfare.

For the fifth time in Latvia the "Work from anywhere!" day took place on May 27 at 13:00 at the square of Latvian National Museum of Art. The aim of the event is to spread the word about flexible approach to work, to highlight its advantages, as well as to provide tips on the best ways how to organize such a workstyle.
