Good will charity days

Jun 22, 2016

As part of Microsoft Baltics support to the SOS Children's Village program, Microsoft Latvia recently organized a "Beach Volley Training Day" for 30 children aged 6-16, as part of the Good Will Charity Days initiative. The objective was to encourage children to follow their dreams, no matter how difficult they are to achieve.

Four top Latvian professional beach volleyball players conducted a 2-hour training session, and the two most talented children earned the chance to train in Latvia's top volleyball school to develop their talent even further. Since 2010, SOS Children's Villages receive software donations from Microsoft, which helped them save over 0K until today. Besides that, Microsoft also takes care of the children well-being and for the 2nd year organizes the Good Will Charity Days".

"We appreciate very much your support for allowing our organizational infrastructure to be up-to-date with the latest Microsoft products at minimal cost. Thank you also for opening the opportunity for SOS children to take part in Volleyball training with profs," Mr Ilja Kolk, SOS Children's Villages, Director of Information & Communication Technology CEE/CIS.
