Around 50 members and guests joined the first monthly business luncheon of 2020 with Ilga Šuplinska, Minister of Education and Science on January 17 at the Grand Palace Hotel.
Ilga Šuplinska spoke on her priorities in ensuring high-quality education and addressed the growing mismatch between formal education and employers’ demand. She elaborated on the Ministry's plan to implement "School 2030" and reform the governance model in higher education. She also touched upon the improvement of digital skills for teachers offering them programs to improve digital competence. Increasing teachers' salaries, implementing inclusive education principles and improving the reputation of vocational education establishments are also on the to-do list.
AmCham works hard to accomplish its goals and is a voice in the business community that is heard.
