Digitalization will transform the healthcare system

Members of the Healthcare working group discussed the ways to improve the digitalization efficiency. Baiba Apine, Leader of FICIL Digitalization work group shared recommendations for the upcoming High Council in May: establishment of CIO office, responsible IT policy, improvements of G2B interaction, further development of e-Identification solutions and clear digital agenda for Latvia. 

Members emphasized the importance of improving the next stage of the e-health system. 

At the next meeting the working group will discuss Health Technology Assessment (HTA) and a possible pilot project.

At one of the next meetings the working group will invite representatives from the National Health Service and the Ministry of Economics to further explore the topic of digitalization.

The next work group meeting is scheduled for May 20 at 16:00 at Ellex Klavins office, Kr. Valdemara 62.
