Pan-Baltic AmChams meet in Tartu for a conference

On May 23-24, 2019 members from 3 AmChams in the Baltics gathered for a 2-day Annual Pan-Baltic meeting of AmChams in Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania.

During networking speaker lunch AmCham members were honored to meet with the Vice-Mayor of Tartu Raimond Tamm, EAS Investment Consultant in South Estonia Asso Uibo and Kristel Reim, the Director of the UT’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center. They gave an informative overview of the region from the administrative, business and of course educational perspective.

Since the mutual topics of this year’s meeting were the future of workforce and healthcare, the program continued with the visit to the Genome Center and their lab as well as with the 2 amazing sessions on the topics with presentations from University of Tartu by Professor Andres Vôrk and the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, also a special presentation by Indrek and Katrin Rahi from Thomas International Baltics and a panel discussion with the representatives from the healthcare sector from all 3 countries.

On the second day the program continued with the 2 company visits: An innovative and outgoing Cleveron and data science company Mooncascade.

Our members truly enjoyed those 2 days full of new knowledge, innovative and inspiring meetings and endless networking opportunities!
