Online

Thanks to our member engagement and expertise - Anita Gaile (Anita Gaile Consulting), Sandra Siliniece (Cognizant Latvia) and Marina (airBaltic) - we had an opportunity to invite members to the latest webinar in Connect with AmCham series that focused on career development and employment life cycle in the new work environment.

The main insights of this online discussion of experts are as follows:

  • modern career is a partnership career - individual drives it, and organization supports it;
  • learning culture is the must and can be organized in two ways:
    a) asking individuals to set clear development goals which are as important as performance goals or
    b) creating the cyclical process of people constantly moving through being apprentice, being practionnaire, becoming a master and then seeking for the next new thing;
  • employee life cycle is real, it could be repeated several times during individual's life time, there are different needs in every phase where companies shall either meet them or teach people to be accountable for their own career decisions to secure.

We are grateful to our members and distinguished speakers for sharing their knowledge, best practices and insights on this extremely topical issue of career development  - Anita Gaile, Leadership and career development trainer, Sandra Siliniece, HR Lead at Cognizant Latvia and Marina Volkova, Head of Talent Acquisition and Development of airBaltic.
