Paving the path to a secure and prosperous Latvia

On October 4, AmCham was honored to host Prime Minister Evika Siliņa engaging in an open dialogue about the most pressing issues the American and international business community is facing. The Prime Minister offered insights into her government's priorities toward a secure and prosperous Latvia and ways to achieve common goals — stronger economic security, human capital, and transatlantic relations.

The event was moderated by Vladlens Kovalevs, Managing Partner at VA Government Rud Pedersen Group.

About the Speaker: 
Ms. Evika Siliņa took office as the Prime Minister of the Republic of Latvia in September 2023. She has many years of experience in public administration and politics. In 2022, she was elected to the Latvian Parliament and was appointed to the office of the Minister for Welfare. She has held the position of Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister from 2019 to 2022, while from 2013 to 2019, Ms. Siliņa served as Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of the Interior. Before her political career, Ms. Evika Siliņa served as an individually practicing sworn attorney. She holds a Master’s Degree in Law from the Riga Graduate School of Law, specializing in International and European Law.
