After 15 years, still a rewarding and inspiring place to work

On July 3, the AmCham Board congratulated Liga Smildzina-Bertulsone for her fifteen years of service to AmCham. In August 1999, Liga joined the Chamber as a Program Manager focusing on event planning and management. From 2006-2007 she served as a Marketing Manager. In October 2007, Liga was appointed to the position of Executive Director to foster AmCham’s mission and goals. Liga has strong interest in promoting sustainable business practices to help improve the business and investment climate in Latvia. 

Liga holds a M.A. in intercultural relations with distinction and B.A. in British Studies from Latvian Academy of Culture. She has concluded a Strategic Management program at the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga and the William Davidson Institute of Michigan, U.S. She is an alumni of the U.S. International Visitors Leadership Program.

Liga said: “I have a privilege working for the organization which does make a difference. This is really my dream job where I can use my skills and talents, surrounded by the best and brightest professionals. I am extremely grateful for this job which is demanding, yet rewarding and full of challenges and opportunities. What more you can ask for?”
