Students get ready for tomorrow

On October 22, President of Latvia Andris Berzins opened the educational innovation pilot project „Ready for tomorrow!" at the Latvian National Library. The pilot project was implemented by Microsoft Latvia in cooperation with LMT. The participants of this event - pupils from Sigulda, Liepaja, Daugavpils, Ventspils and Kekava - along with Country Manager of Microsoft Latvia Eriks Eglitis and President of LMT Juris Binde had an opportunity to participate in the pilot project "Ready for tomorrow!". It was an open hour for participants to make sure that the technology can be used as an educational tool.

"In recent years Microsoft Latvia has implemented a number of initiatives for development of technology skills and strengthening of knowledge, and "Ready for Tomorrow!" is a continuation of this effort. Pupils who participated in this project had an opportunity to develop skills of communication, cooperation and critical thinking with a help of modern teaching methods that is necessary for keeping pace with technologies in the 21st century," explained Country Manager of Microsoft Latvia Eriks Eglitis.
