At the end of April SOS Children's Villages started the campaign "Because He Has You" to familiarize others with SOS Children's Villages and SOS Foster care in order to gain financial support. During the campaign anyone can donate to their cause and become a regular supporter of SOS Foster care, to donate please register at www.sosciemati.lv.

SOS Children's Villages deepest concern is that every child should grow up with a family. If for some reason that is not possible with their biological family then SOS Children's Villages strive to find a way for the child to still grow up in a family environment.

For those crucial eighteen years, SOS Children's Villages are constructed to support SOS families who accept 5-6 children into their care until they are old enough to care for themselves. Currently, SOS Villages house 150 children and youth.

Children, just like seedlings, cannot grow alone. They need to be nourished and cared for to grow healthy and strong. They need stable long term support.

At SOS Children's Villages website the regular donation amount can be chosen; nothing is too small, because every little bit will help a child to grow up with a family.
