Cognizant commits a million to 4 organizations

Mar 23

As Cognizant is a global company their supporting efforts towards Ukraine have been consolidated. Cognizant is committing 1 million USD to four organizations that are delivering food, water, shelter, healthcare, and economic assistance across the region, to aid in the humanitarian relief efforts: Global Giving’s Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund, International Rescue Committee, World Central Kitchen, and UNICEF. Their funding will support impacted communities across Ukraine and in the surrounding regions where Ukrainians are fleeing to safety. Many of their locations around the world have active Outreach Committees through which additional action is being taken by their employees.

The Latvian office is smaller in size, therefore an outreach committee has not been formalized, nevertheless their associates take it upon themselves to get involved in supporting activities with refugees, donations, voluntary work and many more.

AmCham works hard to accomplish its goals and is a voice in the business community that is heard.

I look forward to promoting stronger U.S.-Latvia ties and working with AmCham members to ensure Latvia is a trusted destination for international business.
