Grand Hotel Kempinski Riga is proud to have received the Silver Certificate by EarthCheck – a reward earned through demonstrating outstanding performance in environmental protection and sustainability. Kempinski published the first Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Report in 2021.

The hotel's EarthCheck Silver Certification highlights its strong commitment to sustainable practices in various key areas, such as sustainable development policies, resource management, waste disposal, and community engagement. This recognition positions the hotel as a leader in the industry's efforts to promote environmental sustainability, addressing important issues like rising global temperatures.

“We are delighted to receive this certificate, in particular as Latvia, being ranked under the top 20 greenest countries in the world. As a team we continuously look at opportunities to drive sustainability to protect our beautiful earth for endless generations to come” said Carmen Mauthner, General Manager of Grand Hotel Kempinski Riga.
