Launch of digital skills development program

Microsoft in cooperation with the Innovation Center of the University of Latvia (LUMIC) recently created a personal development program - "Digital Skills Development Program in the Baltics".

Within the framework of this program, it is possible to choose and acquire knowledge in one of the directions offered in the program free of charge - business analytics, data analytics, development of low-code no code or application development.

In order to provide a deeper insight into the project, the Innovation Center LUMIC of the University of Latvia organized the launch event of the "Digital Skills Improvement Program in the Baltics" on November 3, 2020.

During the event the following experts spoke on global trends and development opportunities of digital skills in the Baltics:

  • Anke den Ouden, Head of Microsoft Central and Eastern European Region;
  • Raimonds Aleksejenko, Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Economics of the Republic of Latvia;
  • Prof. Signe Bāliņa, Head of LUMIC Innovation Center, University of Latvia;
  • Edgars Brēķis and Raita Rollande, Leaders of the Digital Skills Development Program in the Baltics.

The event was moderated by Edgars Kuzmans, Creative Director & Partner of 3K Management.
