Luminor among family-friendly workplaces

Aug 18, 2023

On May 19, the Society Integration Foundation in Latvia announced Luminor joining the foundation's "Family-Friendly Workplace" program. From now on in Latvia numerous companies can be proud of family-friendly workplace status.

The program in Latvia was launched two years ago and its aim is to promote the development of an empathetic and human working environment offering not only tools to assess the existing working environment but also financial assistance to implement various support measures for employees.

To receive the status, Luminor was assessed in various areas, including, workplace and environment, benefits, personal growth support and education etc.

Among many initiatives, we can be proud of flexible working time and place, workation, Luminor+ days, and annual wellbeing months with a focus on the mental health and wellbeing of employees. And of course, the annual Kids' days in the office, Christmas gifts for children, and the traditional school bag as a gift for the first grader, which is a direct sign of attention to the smallest ones.

"It is essential for us to ensure the wellbeing of our employees and to promote a healthy work-life balance through various initiatives and activities. And we are really pleased that our efforts have also been recognized by the Society Integration Foundation in Latvia, granting us the status of Family-Friendly Workplace. The status won't allow us to stop at what we have achieved – we will continue to find new ways to promote a healthy work-life balance in Luminor," says Inga Bratena, Head of People & Culture.

In total, 205 companies from both the private and public sectors in Latvia have already joined the program, which provides advisory and information support to organizations in promoting work-life balance in society.
