PwC's Academy is about to begin the new academic year by offering online tax seminars for the first time. The new season offers two extensive training programs designed for CFOs, accountants, and lawyers. You can either complete a full program or only pick certain modules.

• Their six-month Tax Foundation Course offers theoretical and practical knowledge about Latvian taxes. As part of this program, PwC tax experts will introduce you to the Latvian tax system in general and to the basic principles of applying certain taxes, including analysis of the Latvian legal framework and interpretations issued by competent authorities, and discussing practical examples with the audience. PwC consultants will provide you with training materials as well as support and advice on topics being studied during the course. You will obtain a PwC certificate on completion of the program.
• International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is an area that sees new requirements being adopted on a regular basis. To prepare yourself and fully understand how IFRS are applied in practice, we have created a training course for CFOs that allows you to acquire the knowledge needed at your level.

The seminars will be run by Tereze Labzova-Ceicane. She is a certified auditor and PwC Assurance Director with more than 15 years' experience in applying IFRS and advising CFOs, which helps her explain details of each topic in a way that is easy to understand.
