Point changes its name to Verifone

Feb 12, 2015
Point Transaction Systems, Northern Europe's leading provider of payment solutions, is changing its name to Verifone, thereby cementing its entry into the global Verifone group. With the new brand, the company is aiming to demonstrate its commitment to clients in an era of rapid transformation in payments and commerce.

"Point" has been operating in the Baltic market already for 15 years and currently serves approximately 15000 thousand payment devices. "VeriFone" has purchased the company already in 2011, therefore the current change of brand is just a logical step towards the harmonization of the local company's structure.

"The aim of the rebranding is to optimize the structure of the organization in order to increase operational efficiency which will result into more rapid products' replacement and the new "VeriFone" payment devices, applications and the best "VeriFone" experience would enter the market faster. Our service functions remain the same and the brand name change will not cause any inconvenience to our customers. On the contrary, the offered product rangewill expand significantly," says the Managing director of VeriFone Baltic Agris Štikāns.

The brand represents a new Verifone that is driving the future of commerce in a rapidly evolving digital world where electronic payments, commerce and mobility are converging. The new brand unites the global company and invites a more collaborative relationship with its clients, partners and employees.
