SEB, Swedbank, airBaltic, RISEBA and Cognizant - most sustainable companies

For the 12th year, The Institute for Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility evaluated the sustainability index of more than 90 companies and organizations in Latvia. The objective of this index is to diagnose corporate sustainability and responsibility in order to praise and support companies that strengthen Latvian economy.

Based on references and data submitted, companies were awarded Platinum, Gold, Silver, or Bronze status. AmCham members SEB bank and Swedbank Latvia were awarded with Platinum status among Attīstības finanšu institūcija “Altum”, “Augstsprieguma tīkls”, “Balta”, “Baltic International Bank”, “Cēsu alus", “Coca-Cola HBC Latvia”, “Latvenergo”, “Latvijas Loto”, “Latvijas Mobilais Telefons”, “LDZ CARGO”, “Liepājas RAS", “Maxima Latvija”, “Rimi Latvia”, “Rīgas Siltums”, Riga Technical University, “Sadales tīkls”, “Schwenk Latvija”, Riga International Airport, “Trellborg Wheel Systems Liepaja LSEZ”, “Valsts nekustamie īpašumi” and “Ventspils reiss”.

SEB bank received one of the highest sustainability ratings for the 5th year in a row and Swedbank Latvia the historically highest score in this year's Index.

AmCham members airBaltic and RISEBA were awarded with Silver status and Cognizant received the Bonze. In total, 23 Platinum statuses were awarded, 15 Gold, 19 Silver, and 10 Bronze.
