Striving to develop a more favorable investment climate

Our President Arnis Kākulis gave an interview in the magazine Kapitāls about the investment environment in Latvia.

According to Mr. Kākulis Latvia has always been a very positive place for investment because of three factors: geopolitical position, relatively good infrastructure and an educated, multilingual workforce, which, moreover, is still relatively cheap. However, all these positive factors can be judged also negatively. Geographical location from the point of view of the America in fact: no, it is not safe and sound! Also, infrastructure can be considered a good thing, but it is not the best. While the labor force is perhaps an educated and multilingual, however, here in Latvia it becomes more and more difficult to find.
