Supporting Lejasstrazdi for 11th year

Dec 10, 2015

As of 3 December, Nordea together with the “Lejasstrazdi” Family Support Centre and photographer Andrejs Zavadskis invite you to a holiday photo exhibition at “Kolonāde” restaurant at 26 Brīvības Boulevard, Riga. The exhibition’s theme is “Contrasts. Nature and Urban Environments. The Other Beauty.” and features double exposure photography. It will be open to the public until 30 December.

For eleven years, Nordea has supported children from the “Lejasstrazdi” Family Support Centre in acquiring new knowledge and skills, which are then used to make special holiday greetings. This year, the art of photography was mastered under the guidance of photographer Andrejs Zavadskis, eternalising natural landscapes of Ķemeri Marsh and urban views of Old Riga. Using double exposure photography, photographs were merged into a single picture, combining contrasts — intact nature and urban environments.

Jānis Buks, head of Nordea Latvia: "This is a special tradition that has united Nordea and the "Lejasstrazdi" Family Support Center for many years. It's clear that financial support helps evaluate how employee's time is spent, and also facilitates colleague cooperation on every incentive implemented year-round. We are happy that our holiday greeting is also recognised and appreciated by our clients. For the fifth year, the premiere of the holiday greeting was organized during the special Nordea Private Banking Charity Dinner with "Lejasstrazdi" children and the money collected this year will once again be used for charity."
