Tourism industry joins forces for a stronger voice

Aug 30, 2016
On August 29 the Joint Tourism Working Group of the American, Swedish and Norwegian Chambers of Commerce came together to form a cooperation for a stronger voice in defending industries’ interests. Members of the joint working group discussed the challenges industry faces, reviewed latest updates from the Ministry of Economics and the Latvian Tourism Development Agency and set priorities.

The discussion focused mainly on branding and marketing Latvia and improvements needed in the industry educational system. It was agreed to ask to receive the draft of the State tourism marketing strategy in the next few weeks in order to submit concrete recommendations to the Ministry as well as to the Agency.

I look forward to promoting stronger U.S.-Latvia ties and working with AmCham members to ensure Latvia is a trusted destination for international business.
