Latvian Civil Servants have been trained in the English Language by Skrivanek Baltic and are now fully prepared to work in the Presidency of the Council of the EU.

SOS Childrens' Villages in Latvia have completed several projects and activities with the generous support of AmCham members. Children had a chance to play sports and games with Microsoft and AON teams. CBRE established sandplay therapy room for SOS children in Islice. With the support of SEB bank the campaign "Because he/she has YOU" was held this spring and summer, encouraging regular contributions to SOS families.

Welcome! The year has kicked off with various activities. This month we met with the new investor of Citadele Banka, Tim Collins, discussed security matters with independent expert Dr. Charles Barry and together with Riga Business School hosted a seminar on cloud computing for managers. The AmCham Board approved the strategy for the coming year with the following priorities: enhancing transatlantic trade, responding to demographic change and improving the business and investment climate in the country. Throughout the year we will be addressing these in our programs and advocacy efforts.
