On January 21, one day following President Trump's second inauguration, AmChams in Europe convened a live event featuring key representatives from its Executive Committee—Elias Spirtounias (AmCham Greece), Asli Özelli (AmCham Turkey), Mila Malairau (AmCham Moldova), and Daniel Andrich (AmCham Germany)—alongside Marjorie Chorlins, Senior Vice President for Europe at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
The event, moderated by Ajša Vodnik, Chair of AmChams in Europe, explored critical questions concerning the future of U.S.-Europe collaboration. Topics included trade relations, business partnerships, and responses to global challenges. In light of shifting policies and emerging priorities, speakers emphasized the importance of understanding the implications for businesses operating across the Atlantic. Participants underscored that strong transatlantic relations are essential for fostering economic growth, ensuring peace, and driving prosperity. The discussion concluded with a shared commitment to leveraging dialogue and strategic alignment on key issues to strengthen sectors within the transatlantic economy and enhance mutual benefits.
