March Business After Hours was graciously hosted by ATU Duty Free and Riga Airport.

Joining as keynote speakers were Laila Odina, CEO of Riga Airport (RIX) and Arturs Saveljevs, Member of the Board who introduced members to a future urban and business environment at the airport and invited members to help build Riga Airport City. Tamer Cigeroglu, Operation Director of ATU Duty Free Latvia spoke on challenges for the sustainability and competitiveness of duty-free and travel retail businesses in today's uncertain times.

Members were introduced to Riga Airport City concept - a new mixed-use development at Riga Airport (RIX): the leading aviation hub for the three Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. The mixed-use vision for the 24-ha site includes an airport hotel, offices, and retail; along with services for passengers, cargo handlers, and the local community. When finished in 2026, Rail Baltica will offer comfortable connections from Riga Airport to Tallinn and Vilnius in less than 2 hours.

Members had a chance to win excellent door prizes and all guests receive a special gift kindly provided by the host.

Many thanks to Tamer Cigeroglu and the entire ATU Duty Free team for an amazing event with inspiring presentations and excellent food, wine and whiskey tasting.
