On December 1, AmCham hosted its Annual Christmas Charity reception at the new event area on the 27th floor of the Radisson Blu Hotel Latvija.
Christmas greetings were presented by Sharon Hudson-Dean, Charge D'Affaires of the U.S. Embassy. The event was hosted by AmCham President Arnis Kakulis.
It was a very special event and got us into the real Christmas spirit thanks to Christmas songs and music performed by children's ensamble Kukaiņi and percussionist duet Double Trouble: Ēriks Miezis (vibes) & Miķelis Dzenuška (marimba).
During the evening AmCham held a charity raffle raising EUR 1200 in benefit of AmCham principal charities that help promote a healthy development of children and a family based care for children without their biological parents. Through two AmCham events this year we have raised EUR 1800 for Latvian Foster Family Association, Ronald McDonald House Charities Latvija (Care Mobile) and SOS Children's Villages in Latvia.
Thanks to our supporters for a great number of fabulous raffle prizes provided particularly for this event. Our gratitude goes to airBaltic, Albert Hotel, Art Nouveau Riga, Blind Dreams, Casa Nostra, Dinamo Riga, Dunder Mifflin, Hamid Ladjevardi, Indian Raja, Laima, Latvia Tours, Mercure Riga Centre Hotel, Radisson Blu Daugava Hotel, Radisson Blu Hotel Latvija, Santa Maria and Zoste who made this event special.
