Gen AI in Banking and Insurance: a review of practical use cases

May 14 from 09:00 till 12:00
Hilton Garden Inn Riga Old Town, Grecinieku 25

Gen AI has created a lot of interest due to the potential it holds for disruption. We will try to uncover the hype that surrounds this technology, and discuss how it is affecting in particular the Banking and Insurance industry - which opportunities and challenges exist, the use cases being taken up for adoption, and the early success stories.

Use cases to be delved into include:

•    Automation in the Policy Quotation Process for an Insurance client (demo included);
•    The reinvention of decision-making with generative AI-powered insights (Incident Management);
•    A case on AI-driven quality engineering for a global insurance leader based out of North America;
•    And a live demo on concept design and user research (industry agnostic).

A keynote speech including a review of selected case studies will be delivered by Yogesh Karve, a Distinguished Architect in the Software Platform Engineering Unit at Cognizant Netherlands. This will be followed by a panel discussion between experts from Legal, Academic, and Governmental areas, as well as those from the Banking and Insurance industry. Together we aim to uncover the driving forces for Gen AI use in the Banking and Insurance industry, what legal implications have already been identified or can be foreseen, how Academia can facilitate the availability of talent ready for a continuously developing professional environment within the Banking and Insurance space and where lies the balance between driving economic progress and ensuring safety and security when it comes to Gen AI.
