The 6th Annual Human Development Awards Ceremony was held on September 19 at the Grand Hotel Kempinski Riga with a festive dinner with participation of HDA winners, nominators, our partners and other high-level officials and professionals such as Paul Poletes, Deputy Chief of Mission of the US Embassy in Riga, Ramona Petravica, the Minister of Welfare and others.

The Award was presented in four categories including:
In the category "Social Responsibility Award" - Līga Uzulniece, the Founder of Enģeļa pasts;
In the category "Outstanding Commitment to Education Award" - Solveiga Medne, Director of RTU Engineering High School;
In the category "Exemplary Contribution to Health and Well-Being Award" - Agnese Kviese, the Founder of alsi family and Children development center ĢBAC "Brīnumiņš";
The Human Development Award is presented to honor inspiring people,organizationsandcompaniesofLatvia who voluntary contribute their time, work and effort for thesociety growth and development.
Winners received sculpture "Sprout" designed by artist Olga Silova, recognition and promotion of their initiative.
The Human Development Award was hosted by AmCham Latvia, the Civic Alliance of Latvia and the U.S. Embassy in Latvia.
