Representatives of 17 American companies visited Latvia on July 9-10 to explore investment and business opportunities.
Following a meeting with Prime Minister Straujuma, a seminar on the U.S.-Latvian business cooperation opportunities was held on July 9th providing informative briefings about the business environment in Latvia. During the seminar two panel discussions presenting opinions about doing business in Latvia were held.
AmCham members had the opportunity to meet with the U.S. Business Mission's participants during several events on July 9 including seminar and luncheon at the Radisson Blu Ridzene Hotel and a reception at the Museum of Riga History and Navigation.
The visit was organized by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia in cooperation with the Ministry of Economics, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, U.S. Embassy in Latvia and AmCham. The delegation represented industries including automotive, energy, life sciences, IT, pharmaceuticals, packaging and labeling.
AmCham works hard to accomplish its goals and is a voice in the business community that is heard.
