The Annual AmChams in Europe (ACE) best practices conference took place last month in Milan, Italy. This year the conference was attended by representatives of 27 AmChams across Europe with an aim to share best practices about topics including advocacy, membership, business support and the US participation in Expo Milano 2015. The program incuded an overview of ACE membership survey 2014. During the conference the finalist of  the 2015 "Creative Network" gave their presentations and this year's winner was AmCham Romania with their "Coalition for Romania's Development".

The conference kicked off with a welcome reception at the residence of the Consul General of the US in Milan, Ambassador Philip T. Reeker, and was attended by representatives of the USA Pavilion, including Ambassador Douglas T. Hickey, Commissioner General of the USA Pavilion. A meeting was also held at the Palazzo Isimbardi with the leaders of the City of Milan.

The group visit included a tour of the USA Pavilion of Expo Milano 2015. Expo Milano 2015 is the Universal Exhibition that Milan is hosting from May 1 to October 31, 2015. Over this six-month period, Milan is a global showcase with more than 140 participating countries on the core theme: "Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life".

AmCham Latvia was represented in the conference by Liga Smildzina-Bertulsone, Executive Director and Ieva Melngaile, Office and Communication Manager.
