FICIL invites to join their working groups

Jan 29, 2016
AmCham as an Associate member of the Foreign Investors' Council in Latvia (FICIL), including a number of our members, is actively involved in its working groups aiming at proposing constructive recommendations to the government on a wide variety of issues. Members are participating in those working groups on behalf of AmCham.

FICIL will hold its 20th High Council meeting and they would like to look back on what has been done in the previous ten years, analyze the position papers and their recommendations to see what has been achieved and implemented and what has remained in the drawers of the government tables. Could be that some of the recommendations are not topical anymore, nevertheless, many still are and as such should be emphasized once more. Meanwhile this is also an opportunity to review participation in the work groups and if you are not a member of them, but would like to contribute, please let us know by e-mail ieva.melngaile@amcham.lv and we will ask FICIL to add you to the work group's e-mailing list.

Let us know if you would like to participate or renew your participation in the following groups:

  • Construction Law work group
  • Health sector and welfare work group
  • Investment Protection work group
  • Tax work group

FICIL is a business organization made up of the largest foreign investors in Latvia and 13 chambers of commerce. FICIL's mission is to improve the business environment and grow foreign investments in Latvia through an active dialogue with the government. To find out more visit website: www.ficil.lv.

AmCham is a place to meet representatives of other industries and understand the business environment.

I look forward to promoting stronger U.S.-Latvia ties and working with AmCham members to ensure Latvia is a trusted destination for international business.
