First pilot project of dual education system

17 young people of Vocational school Valmiera, starting the school year 2013/2014, took part in a pilot project, to acquire job skills needed indeed for their future profession. Valmieras Stikla Škiedra announces the new group enrollment encouraging young people under the age of 29 years to submit their CVs until December, 2014.

JSC "Valmieras stikla šķiedra" sees and implements a variety of activities in four key dimensions of corporate social responsibility - viewing from perspectives of Company, Society, Business and Environment. Their corporate social responsibility is based on core values of the enterprise: stability, quality excellence, use of high-tech and team spirit, which supports the sustainable development of the company.

Social responsibility covers: environmentally friendly production, efficient use of resources; care of employees, safe and decent working conditions; employee qualification increase, support of charity and sponsorship projects' implementation etc.

It is one of the few Latvian enterprises that gives a practical support in development of science and education in Latvia. Company cooperates with Riga Technical University, as well as High Technology Park of Ventspils. As a socially responsible company, JSC "Valmieras stikla šķiedra" engages in activities that promote healthy and cultural society, therefore the support directions of the company also include culture and sports. Company provides support to significant events related to culture, children and youth football and basketball and support for charity.
