The Nominating Committee elected Kerli Vares as a member of the Board of Directors on July 4, 2022. She will replace Edgars Labsvirs who recently left his position to pursue the political ambition. Kerli has assumed the position immediately and will serve the remaining portion of Edgars' term until 2024.

Kerli serves as a Head of Luminor Latvia and Head of Retail Banking at Luminor Group Level, Member of the Management Board at Luminor Bank AB since 2017. She is a senior executive with more than 20 years of experience and a strong background in strategy execution and implementation, corporate and business development, organizational transformation and leading teams. Previous 15 years Kerli has been involved in executing innovative market strategies and introducing product novelties across the market, occupying executive positions and later on being a Board Member of the largest telecommunications company in Latvia “Lattelecom” (now TET). Kerli has extensive experience in marketing, digital solutions, product development and technology. Kerli holds an MBA in general management from the London Business School and Columbia Business School, as well as a Master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Karlstad University and Stockholm School of Economics in Riga.
