Sustainability Index is a strategic management tool aimed to help enterprises in establishing the level of sustainability and responsibility. Another purpose of the initiative is to praise and support the enterprises contributing to the long‑term sustainability of Latvian economy, environment, and society. The methodology is developed by the Institute for Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility. Any enterprise registered in Latvia interested in acquiring its non-financial performance evaluation, may apply for participation. Sustainability Index evaluates company's real activity and openness to communicate with different stakeholders. The index highlights the progress rather than competition with other companies.
