Members of the Tourism and hospitality industry met to discuss the challenges for positioning Latvia as a tourism destination, especially for the US market. It was agreed that members will create recommendations regarding the tourism development and marketing of Latvia to be submitted to policy-makers.

The AmCham Board held its semi-annual retreat to discuss the strategic direction for the coming year. Among key priority areas are the enhancement of transatlantic trade and investment, working to improve the business and investment climate in Latvia and response to demographic change.

On January 21, about 25 AmCham members gathered to the first Business After Hours of 2016. Guests had a chance to learn about innovative tech startups and gain some significant tips to make presentations a breeze, and hopefully this event marks a start of new collaboration.
