The visually impressive production of Verdi's opera Don Carlos, created by German director Claus Guth, with scenography by Etienne Pluss and costumes by Petra Reinhardt, had its world premiere at Teatro San Carlo in Naples at the end of 2022. Don Carlos is considered Verdi's most ambitious opera, which has undergone multiple revisions over the years and is performed in two versions - Italian and French. In Riga, the extensive work of art will be performed in Italian.
