Golden Helmet presented to Coca-Cola

Coca-Cola HBC Latvia received recognition in the annual "Swedish Business Award 2015". The ceremony held in the middle of October, where among the three finalists the company Coca-Cola HBC Latvia was represented in the category of Corporate Social Responsibility in relation to the environmental impact of packaging efficiency initiatives and for reduction of carbon emissions.

The award was proclaimed for the 7th consecutive year by the Swedish Embassy and the Swedish Trade and Invest Council with a view to find the most socially responsible businessmen and to strengthen the successful cooperation between Sweden and Latvia. A jury of experts evaluated the companies' applications in three categories: Steadily Growing and Sustainable Company in Latvia, Corporate Social Responsibility Project or Initiative of the Year, and Young Entrepreneur of the Year. In the evaluation process, several aspects of business are considered; however, companies were mainly evaluated based on their financial indicators, their growth and their corporate social responsibility.

In addition, Coca-Cola HBC Latvia has received an acknowledgement for the company's good practice in reducing risks in the workplace related to falling or tripping in the competition "Golden Helmet" organized by the Latvian State Labor Inspectorate. Best practice competition in labor protection "Golden Helmet" is held for the 10th year, and in this competition the companies that care about improving work environment and providing safe working conditions for workers are found. The objective of 2015 Best Practice Award competition is to support and promote preventive culture in labour protection and to demonstrate the advantages of preventive culture; to encourage companies to increase their focus on risks of slipping and tripping in the company and to prevent those risks, to reduce work-related accidents caused by slipping, stumbling and tripping over something, as well as to disseminate the best available practical guidance so that other companies can draw ideas and adopt best practices.

At the conference, Management System Coordinator/Work Safety Specialist Evita Rudovica presented the company's good practice to other participants.
