The AmCham Board held its semi-annual retreat to discuss the strategic direction for the coming year. Among key priority areas are the enhancement of transatlantic trade and investment, working to improve the business and investment climate in Latvia and response to demographic change.

On January 21, about 25 AmCham members gathered to the first Business After Hours of 2016. Guests had a chance to learn about innovative tech startups and gain some significant tips to make presentations a breeze, and hopefully this event marks a start of new collaboration.

Gatis Kokins, Chairman of the Supervisory Council of Lattelecom addressed AmCham on January 15, 2016. He offered his views on the global and local trends in the Telecommunications industry and spoke about further direction of Lattelecom.

New name and website for Dunder Mifflin

Dunder Mifflin becomes RigaReno.com with the new brand and website www.RigaReno.com. The company specializes in remodeling and reconstructing residential apartments and commercial office space.

Call for nominations for Human Development Award

We are looking for nominations for the 3rd Annual Humand Development Award in the following categories: Social Responsibility, Education, Health & Well-Being and The Future of Latvia. The deadline for submission is February 11. The purpose of the award is to promote human development, prosperity and well-being of Latvia’s people. With the award we want to recognize the individuals, companies and organizations who have significantly contributed to human development and continue to make a difference in their communities.
