On April 27, members met with Elita Krumina, Auditor General to discuss how efficient is Latvia’s public sector and priorities of State Audit Office. John Heffern, US Deputy Assistant Secretary for European Affairs offered his outlook on the efficiency and transparency in public sector.

The forum served as an innovative meeting platform between corporate, government and student leaders to discuss the recent trends in developing, attracting and retaining future talent.

AmCham calls for increased economic presence of Latvia in the US

AmCham sent a letter to the Prime Minister, Ministers of Economics, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chairman of Economic, Agricultural, Environmental and Regional Policy Committee of the Saeima and Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Saeima calling to open a permanent economic representation office of Latvia in the US. After that, AmCham was invited to the meeting of the Foreign Affairs Committee to discuss this issue.
